La Pala Bistro Bar and Restaurant started with an idea given to me from a good friend. He said, “How cool would it be to have a place that had real brick oven pizza around here.” We carefully thought it out and started thinking, “Why stop at pizza? How about all those dishes you don’t normally see anywhere else prepared in our fire roasted oven?” We had a vision. La Pala wasn’t going to be your typical pizza and parm type of Italian restaurant. It would become a destination for our guests, a place which would take you back in time to when food was an art not just another dish. Our flavors will have you tasting why so many keep coming back for more.

At La Pala we want you to feel at home, Our dining room is cozy like in an old small European town bistro where you get to taste real old world pizza’s right from our handmade wood fired oven. Also you get to enjoy freshly prepared dishes that you will not find in other Italian restaurants. We want La Pala to be different from the decor to the food. Weekly entertainment, live music, friendly staff, tasty dishes and of course what started it all true wood fired foods from our oven. There is something about tasting the food cooked in a wood fired oven that makes your taste buds delighted!

We set out to be an old world wood fired pizza and bistro. We ended up becoming “La Pala the place worth finding”.

La Pala Bistro Bar and restaurant was family built from the ground up, literally! We built the oven ourselves along with the rest of the stone on the walls, to the tile on the floor, all done by our owners and built with Old World Charm. The atmosphere we want to achieve shows in our food. We take pride in our cooking and prepare our meals fresh with only the finest ingredients. Our chefs have come from some of the most famous places in NYC! One of our Chefs has even personally cooked for Liz Taylor herself! At La Pala the staff is the heart of our business. Our bread sets us apart. For anyone walking near La Pala in the morning, they will catch the smell of our homemade bread, baked fresh daily by Sal every morning. Giuseppe makes all our fresh pasta’s.
